Was your wedding cut short by COVID-19? Did you have to hold off on saying “I do” and still stuck in limbo? Was your wedding budget blown? Here’s some possible help.
The Grove Hotel in downtown Boise, Idaho, is offering complimentary wedding packages to 10 couples who are unable to hold their wedding or have been otherwise affected by COVID-19. The hotel is currently seeking submissions.
“The pandemic has caused countless couples to alter their wedding plans, which are events that already take a great deal of time and planning,” said Steve Steading, general manager of The Grove Hotel in a news release “We saw an opportunity to take what’s become a highly unusual and undoubtedly stressful experience for couples, and turn it into a fun, easy, and affordable celebration.”
The hotel will gift up to 10 couples with a wedding package from The Grove Hotel, valued at $4,500. Each couple will win a ceremony with seating for up to 50 guests, pre-set understated décor (optional), professional wedding photography, courtesy set up, tear down, and cleaning of the venue between ceremonies, and a complimentary room reservation at The Grove Hotel on their wedding night. Grove, I Do weddings will take place on Aug. 20 and 21.
Each couple will have a two-hour, private reservation for The Terrace, an outdoor balcony on the fourth floor of The Grove Hotel, and access to the two adjoining Terrace Suites.
In place of payment, the hotel asks couples and wedding guests to bring canned food donations for The Idaho Foodbank. As the largest food bank and distributor of free food assistance in the state, the Idaho Foodbank is working through an increase in food demand across Idaho.
Submissions for the Grove I Do sweepstakes close on Monday, July 6, at 11:59 p.m. MT. Open to legal residents of the U.S. and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. Official rules and submissions here.
