With 2018 fading fast and New Year’s Eve around the corner, the majority of Americans will be spending up to $200 each on the occasion, according to the personal-finance website WalletHub. That’s an awful lot of party hats and streamers or is it more than that?

The website recently released its report on 2018’s Best Places for New Year’s Eve Celebrations along with its 50+ New Year’s Eve Facts. to offer more in-sight into the annual festivities.

Also to help ring in the New Year without breaking the bank, WalletHub compared the 100 biggest cities across 28 key metrics. The data set ranges from legality of fireworks to average price of a New Year’s Eve party ticket to forecasted precipitation for Dec. 31.

As you read on you will see that New Year’s Eve is big business for well, businesses. Things add up fast from dinner to dancing, raising a champage glass, limos, and whatever else you might want at your disposal to welcome 2019. Some cities do it bigger than others but rest assured ringing in the New Year isn’t cheap. Perhaps that’s why many opt to say inside and watch the famous ball drop in NYC’s Times Square.
